Hello everyone, I'm hopeless with computers, but a pretty good mechanic on (old) mopeds. I need your help. I wanted to see my phone screen on my radio. I displayed the SmartLink function on the screen using VCDS, but that's where it stops. The AI only tells me to search for version MST2_EU_SK_ZR_P0361T. Could someone tell me more? Thank you.

Hi. Bought my 2017 Rapid recently and had this issue also where it had the hardware already for SmartLink but needed an activation Key, I’m going to guess this is what happens when you tap on SmartLink?

I recently purchased a little Carista OBD scanner and followed this tutorial and manage to get CarPlay working so it might work for you. I believe that if it didn’t natively show SmartLink, it would require a modification to the USB port in the centre cup holder but I’m not 100% certain so someone else might be able to advise you.

This was the tutorial I followed:

Keep in mind it works ONLY with Amundsen units, it does NOT work with Bolero!

Your unit (5Q0035819B) does not support SmartLink (even if it is visible in menu), you must have infotainment reader replaced, e.g. with 5Q0035840B. New unit must be patched to enable all the options and disable CP i HMI. Pls contact me in PM if you are interested.
