LED Sidelights fitted (With Xenons)

Featured Replies

A classic Jon. Your're right  How are your LED sidelights? Are they bright enough?

apparently not  I wasted my time  should have left the yellow tinted ones in from the factory that were about as useful as a nightlight in a cave.

I didn't say anything to that effect. All I was trying to say is that in a photograph with the majority of things dark and two small light areas, the smaller light areas will overexpose! It would happen with ordinary sidelights, a torch, a candle or anything! Evidently the various different sets of LED sidelights I've used over the years have all been inferior. I'm not going to argue about this anymore.

Arguing a side... I did it!!! I managed to get my led bulbs fitted this afternoon :D

Thanks for all the help guys!

Anyway in the interests of science I took a before and after photo! :)

Old crappy yellow bulbs

Much improved!!

They look so much better next to the xenon lights, I've just been out now it's dark for a proper test.. and it's safe to say I'm well happy with these!

Now for the Philips indicator bulbs and some xenon look mainbeam and fogs :D

Oh and as it was a nice day and the car was pretty grubby... I gave it a clean and waxed it

I've fitted another pair of the W5W led sidelights in the map reading lights and a 9 led festoon in the main interior light. Looks well cool when you unlock it at night.

Might get 2 more festoons, one for the boot and another for the glove box.

They are a bugger to do. You just cant get into them like you can the sidelights. My dealer did mine (No charge) They had to take the headlight units out!!!
