Changed the battery, now a load of fault codes

Featured Replies

Hi, just changed the battety, 2nd one in 7 years, first time around, no problem, this time I get

Error: stabilisation control (ESC)

Error : Hill hold assist

Error : Front assist unavailable

Error : tyre pressure loss indicator

Anybody know if these systems are linked with a common fuse? Handbook isn't much of a help.

Any assistance greatly appreciated.

Jonah

Hello, welcome to the forum.

Any random faults caused by battery disconnection and reconnection should clear themselves after taking the vehicle for a short drive.

Did you carry out the battery adaptation (coding) after fitting the new battery?

Thanks, that is exactly what happened, looking at the codes, there appeared to be an connection to wheel speed this could well have been stored in memory for initial comparison. I generally have a small 12v battery connected to the terminals, sods law I didn't have it today.

Thank you very much for your response.

All of those errors are, as you say, linked to a fault in the ABS system. If it doesn't clear, you will probably have to read or have the codes read and go from there.

I had the same type of issue with my Karoq. Started the car when battery was low and lit up the dash with similar faults, and more!

The issue was Steering Angle Sensor had lost calibration. Had to have it reset at dealer.
