Today I received an email with the above title.

Then when I went to the car it had removed me as primary user.

I had to download the application and then, with BOTH keys in my hand, reset myself as primary user.

I'm not sure if the car had updated software, or the application had updated software, but this resetting of everything and forcing us to keep going to Skoda's servers is getting to be a pain in the butt.

I have just received the same message.

Anyone know what is happening?

Have either of you recently been prompted to install an OTA update?

Yes, but that was weeks ago, 14 March, and I got back in just by logging back into the infotainment in the car (and using the web to reset my SIP as I had no record of what it was).

The only time I've had a similar email was after I'd done a factory reset through the infotainment settings, which I did after performing an update. Could be Skoda are messing about with something, who knows? Seems odd that it's happened to two of you around the same time...

I had an OTA update about 3 weeks ago and had to log back in with my PIN. I will be checking the car tomorrow.

So did I, at least twice, my car also keeps changing the colour settings of everything. I love the car, but I'm getting sick & tired of the software glitches, so may look elsewhere in the near future.

Have you checked the setting for automatic colour select or something like that? You might need to turn it off

It puts a small dialog box saying "Changing User Settings" every few starts. All my radio station presets go & colour setting vanish. It's a RPITA.

I get the changing user settings message every time I start up, always have

This one is different. It doesn't go away.

Might help to factory reset infotainment and make a new user profile. I had this issue when car tried to sync to online profile and couldn't load settings, defaulting everything in the beginning of every trip.

I have reset myself as primary user after the app on my phone did an update. Let's hope it stays.

I also had to do a primary user reset this weekend after I was mysteriously evicted - and may I say what a palaver it is too..........

Received the same email today despite successfully installing O3A8 over a month ago + factory reset, and have not been logged in as primary user nor used any other setting than "maximum privacy" since then.

Strange.
