I am selling my 2018 Karoq Edition soon due to ill health. Will the buyer ask me for the radio code? It is not written in the manual or on any of the service documents. Thank you.

As far as I know, no radio code required - the infotainment system is locked to the vehicle monitoring system provided it remains with the vehicle to which it was installed.

In short, the system relies on two key pillars:

• VIN Pairing (Component Protection): During manufacturing or at an authorized service center, the main infotainment unit is software-linked (coded) directly to your vehicle's specific VIN.

• Online Verification (FAZIT Anti-Theft System): As soon as the vehicle is started, the control units instantly exchange encrypted data. If the infotainment unit is removed and installed in another vehicle, the new onboard network immediately detects the mismatched VIN and locks the unit. It then enters Component Protection mode, rendering it either completely non-functional or severely restricted (e.g., muted audio and disabled features).
  
  That is why the code is no longer used.
