Mib 2 - car icon change

Featured Replies

Hi, I have a question about the infotainment car picture. Can the pictures be added ? When I try to change the car using OBD11, there are only two car models / pictures, Octavia 3 FL Hatchback and combi, none of the other bytes do anything, it either stays as O3 FL hatch, or the picture disappears entirely. is there any way to add the pictures, so that I could change it to my O3 hatch non FL ?

Oh, and can't it be added ? I've seen people having their own car picture, so I imagine that it can't be that hard to add a previous model ?

Not easily, I don't think - I did look into it. My Octavia is a 2020 build and all of the car icons (entering, exiting, ACC, etc) feature a Mk4 - it's a system from the future.

Okay, let's give a detailed answer. You'd have to use the ToolBox to create a dump, then decrypt the encrypted file that manages the image files. There are hundreds of individual images, and all of them would need to be replaced. A colleague of mine has a VW unit in a Seat and spent a total of three months manually replacing these individual images.

Take a Picture please. Or you mean the Hidden Picture File?

Oh, ok, thanks for the answer
