I have the fake wood on mine

The wood trim in the Superb isnt fake. Unfortunately it looks fake. i recall reading an article where Mercedes had the same problem, where an engineer said that Mercedes has the technology to make real wood look fake. The Superb has a similar problem to an extent, but when you realise its real wood veneer, then its suprising how less fake it looks in your mind.

If you take the trim off the centre console, and scratch the black paint off the sides, you will be able to see real wood veneer between the metal and the lacquer.

No offence to anyone that has wood in their car but I just don't see the attraction!!

It looks tacky IMO and aluminium or something similar looks so much better!!

For the facelift seems that on the Elegance spec they are offering new alloys called CYGNUS which seem similar to the SOLID. Also have free option to swap leather for Alcantara. For some reason Skoda UK have called the "Anthracite grey" in the press release "Charcoal Grey" - on ordering system comes up as Anthracite. Skoda in Germany have put out spec details and for Elegance have a heated windscreen as option. Skoda UK say not an option here - pity.
