Are the centre cup holders big enough for fast food cups or bubble tea (boba milk tea)?

Featured Replies

Hi everyone, sorry for the barrage of odd questions. I'm looking at buying a 2011 Superb Mk ii 3.6 wagon (combi). My wife and I enjoy takeaway coffees and bubble teas fairly often, with the occasional fast food take out (large mcdonalds takeaway cups, mcflurries etc.)

I'm wondering what your experience is with the centre cupholders holding these kinds of drinks because from the photos they look quite small to me..

Also are the door card storage bins wide enough to fit a water bottle? Say 600ml? They also look quite slim.

Thank you for bearing with me with my funny questions.

This was one thing that I found frustrating with the MK2 Superb. The door pockets weren't large enough to hold a bottle and the centre console cup holders were only just large enough for a coke can or slim bottle.

In the end I found a clip on cup holder designed for prams and clipped it to the door card.

Thanks softscoop for the reply. I guess I'm not alone in thinking the door pockets and centre cupholders are a bit on the small side. Even the cup holders and door pockets in my wifes 2014 hyundai I30 hatch can hold large thermos bottles.

It's a shame because the Skoda has so many great features but the cupholders and door bins are just a bit narrow - I've read reviews saying the car is actually a bit narrow compared to other cars and makes of similar years - exterior and interior wise. I guess this could be the reason why for the slim form factor of the storage and cup holders.

Great idea with the cup holder clip, appreciate it!
