My Golf convertible didn't have aircon, but then it is almost a classic The next cabrio I get will have aircon aswell, it's definetely needed when the sun is beating down on you trying to fry your skin.

The buses I'm currently using don't have aircon :(

Errrm, must be my C reg XR2, which left me about 2 and a half years back I think.

Technically the Audi Coupe but the last daily drive car I had with no aircon was my Audi 90, about five years ago. Never thought I needed it and now I can't do without.

I love the way it stops the windows steaming up in the wet too.
