Round steering wheel with DSG paddles

Featured Replies

I bought a sportline flat bottom steering wheel but it was the heated version with the view button. I knew the airbag would have a bit of a gap but I didn’t like how it looked or felt overall. So I now have that for sale if anyone is interested.

I am on the hunt for a round leather steering wheel. Version with phone button not view button, but with the DSG paddles.

If anyone can point me in the direction of the correct part number or even if you have one for sale please let me know!

That part number is for the buttons?

I’m looking for the round steering wheel that includes the dsg paddles

I have found 3V0419091M and ordered from CZ.

It’s actually cheaper than the sportline one and the eBay seller of that one is accepting a return. Fingers crossed the one from CZ is as good as the pictures.

This was the original round steering wheel on mine (MY17) before I replaced it with a flat-bottomed steering wheel.

Thanks

I’ve found an M one which looks to be equivalent to your S. Fingers crossed.

I loved the look of the sportline one in pictures but in the hand it just didn’t live up to expectations.

Which version of the Sportline wheel did u get?

Wat did u not like about it?

Here's a side by side comparison of the two I had/have.

Both very similar in feel and thickness.

It was the facelift one with the view button. Heated. I knew heating wouldn’t work but hoped I could swap my buttons on to it. But didn’t realise that my buttons wouldn’t have the connection for dsg paddles. I also didn’t like the gap above the airbag although I knew when I bought it I would have one. But it looked more obvious than I thought.

And just generally I didn’t like the flat bottom shape as much as I thought I would.

So decided for me the round steering wheel with the addition of paddles covers what I want. I’ll probably hardly use the paddles but it’s a nice addition.

Did warn u about getting a heated version, difference in clockspring and airbag shape differences.

All good, round is wat u prefer....round is wat u get.

Fingers crossed the M version works out for u.

I knew! I know!

I was hoping as I was using my own buttons and airbag and just leave the heated element unplugged would avoid clockspring. Which it would. And airbag I thought I could live with but it was quite a big gap at the top. Plus it stunk of cigarettes and I don’t think I would have got that out of it!

Fingers crossed for the M. It has the right buttons and there’s another on eBay with airbag which is the same so hopefully it will be a simple swap.

The clock spring is completely irrelevant. If you don't use the heating function and reuse the old airbag, the connector simply sits loose in the steering wheel. The airbag fits, but if you don't like it, that's a matter of personal taste; technically, nothing changes.

I'm going to jump on this band wagon.

I'm looking for a steering wheel with DSG Paddles, not bothered FB or Round, I currently have Heated, with View. MY20. Could anyone be generous enough to provide a part number for either or ?

Sounds like the one I need! Flat Bottom or Round ? Searching seems to bring up round. Are you selling?

Flat bottomed, perforated leather. I’ve returned it through eBay unfortunately. It also smelt strongly of cigarettes so not ideal. But I’m guessing it will get relisted once it’s back in stock

Ah, no worries. Do you have a Part Number for the round version?

I'm struggling to find a range of suitable part numbers. Not too bothered if it's FB or Round, Standard or Perforated.

Unfortunately not. All I did was search eBay until I found what I wanted and zoom in on the part number stickers in the photos.

Oo that looks good. Have you got a link to the page?

I've attached the Claude URL and a copy of the HTML file.

Feedback is welcome!

Ah ok. Might need some verification. Also missing some of the round ones but it’s good to have a list of most of them

These steering wheels are like rocking horse waste!
