Cylinder 2 misfire

Featured Replies

Hi everyone!

A few days ago, the car went into limp mode because it detected a fault with Oil Pressure Switch 3 (P168D00).

Not long after that, I noticed a slight rattling/ticking noise coming from under the valve cover while the engine was idling.

Then, after starting the engine, a Cylinder 2 Misfire fault appeared.

Of course, I replaced the ignition coil and spark plug, but that did not solve the problem.

Do you think it's possible that a faulty hydraulic lifter could be causing this issue? Or perhaps the VVT (variable valve timing) solenoid/valve?
