With UK pricing now confirmed, the new Škoda Peaq is shaping up to be one of the most interesting seven-seat EVs to hit the market.

Starting from around £52,000, offering up to 395 miles of WLTP range, fast charging, a premium interior and genuine seven-seat practicality, it looks like Škoda has packed a lot into its new flagship.

The big question is...

Would you order one?

If yes:

• Which trim would you go for?

• Rear-wheel drive or all-wheel drive?

• What colour would you choose?

It certainly looks like Škoda has built a compelling family EV, but will it be enough to tempt buyers away from the established competition?

How many actual buyers will there be in the UK compared to those Leasing / Renting them and how many will be private users compared to Business users?

My stepdaughter's partner is very interested in this new model to replace her Kodiaq.

I could be interested to replace my Kodiaq Mk1, but 28mn to charge batteries from 10 to 80% (Skoda value for 90kW version) seems still quite long to me. Just for comparison Xpeng G9 says 12mn for the same WLTP range...

@Bap33 This being on 199kW chargers. Are you going to be using Ultra Rapid chargers like that? Instavolts are only 160kW max.(92 pence a kWh) Tesla are 250kW max. there are Osprey 300 kW, There are 350 kW chargers. The Xpeng G9 can charge at 300-525 kW. So 800 volt chargers.

At this time, I won’t… My current Kodiaq Mk1 makes an excellent job! 😁

I was only asking myself how long I would need for a 10-80% charge along a holiday trip. 28mn isn’t that long on its own, but if most of the car have such values, it means long queueing to have the battery charged.

My holiday trips are all over 500km with 90% motorway. The shortest is around 450km but requires a roof box which shortens the range and makes a battery charge mandatory anyway.

Additionally, I may have to tow a horse van 2 or 3 times a year over 300km. I guess battery charge will be necessary in this case too…

Location location location. Long queuing is not necessary if you are visiting charging hubs with plenty ultra rapid chargers and these are not very busy sites. Towing is an issue as far as charging unless it is the type of charging hubs designed to allow vehicles to charge while still hitched up to what ever and not requiring unhitching and re-hitching. I expect the range with a horse box and horse at the Max Gross weight allowed will be greatly reduced. Could it even be half the range.
