How do I save the settings?

Featured Replies

Kodiaq 2026 PHEV
I set the lane control to 'Off', set the alert control to 'off', and various other settings that I want. But when I next switch the car on, all my settings are lost and I have to re-set them. This is a complete pain in the ass. How do I save the settings so that they stay set?

No way...I think....

I'm pretty certain you can't save those settings... From memory the EU mandated they 'reset' each time. The car is switched off and on.

I agree^ - it's a euro NCAP safety thing I believe. The safety systems such as lane keep assist, speed warning, emergency braking etc can be disabled but reenable each time the vehicle restarts.

Luckily the Skoda has the quick access button on the steering wheel, with the assist menu so you can disable what you don't want. Some cars you need to enter the settings menu on the screen which is a bigger faff.

There is one other setting - drive mode - which always resets to normal. I drive most of the time in eco mode for fuel saving reasons, using coasting wherever possible. This is not NCAP related so I fail to see why this setting cannot be 'held' until I choose a different setting. Just another thing I have to adjust before driving - irritating.

In manual says clearly, for legal reasons...so it must be something mandatory there as well....

IIRC, try adding your desired setting on Individual and then use that mode. You still have a change to do, from Normal to individual, but still better.
