2 Liter diesel. Periodically, after driving a while the Glow Plug warning light starts flashing. If the car is left for ten minutes it doesn't come back on.

The car is mostly used for very short journeys and the light comes on on fast longer journeys. The car is due up for its MoT, so I need to get it sorted.

Can anyone advise?

The flashing glowplug indicator acts as a general fault light for certain faults, emissions problems might be one of them.

You are going to need to get it scanned for any DTCs logged.

Well that has thrown up a can of worms!

Oil pressure switch malfunction

NoX absorber Bank one below threshold. This normally happens when it is being regenerated. When reset that stops

Databus Error value received

Just to complete the problems,

Left Front ABS wheel speed sensor magnetic field too low

Tyre pressure signal malfunctioning

Electro mechanical parking brake wheel speed sensor implausible signal

The NoX sensor is probably the cause of the glowplug fault indication.

Suggest getting all three sensors fixed asap, the TPMS and EPB faults will be caused by the ABS sensor.

Reset the codes and drive the car again.

Then do a fresh scan and see what still shows then.

ABS sensor faults normally cause the car to behave like it’s off its meds with lights on the dash everywhere.

Check the battery voltage
