I have a few questions regarding fitting a universal cone filter on my Octavia.

1. Is there a pipe / hose that I can purchase to fit between the MAF and the air filter?
   
2. Typically how much would such a hose / pipe cost?
   
3. There is a corrugated hose coming from the front of the engine into the standard air box. What is its purpose?
   
4. When I change the air filter, is it necessary to attach this to the replacement hose or can it be removed all together

Think this may be the problem with buying a universal filter. My K&N induction kit came with all the pipe connections etc that are needed. The corrugated pipe is an aux or secondary air feed, some kits come with a filter to attach to the top of this, others come with a pipe that connects somewhere between the filter and the MAF, as far as I am aware you need to keep this fed however it is filtered.
