Hi, I'm John. I bought an Octavia VRS (51 reg) in February this year. Love the car but have a problem with creaking at the front of the car since the dry weather. I have had the anit-roll bar bushes replaced (both sides) but this did not fix the problem. So I have now had a new bottom ball joint fitted - but it still creaks!!! Any ideas because it is driving me mad and taking the pleasure out of driving it? On a more positive note, my partner has just bought a Fabia VRS and we both love it.

Could it be the dogbone mount?? Try a search buddy

i had this on mine turned out to be plastic sleave on anti-rollbar cracked causing a horrible sound:(

Thanks for that. Our mechanic has now said it could be something to do with the plastic sleaves so I'll get that replaced. Here's hoping!!!!

PS: Do you know if you can get the sleaves as a separate part?

no the plastic sleeves are part of the bar so it should req a new bar but i removed the sleeves carfully and then used a rubber strip to replace the plastic (by inserting it into the bush prior to fitment on the bar)this has been a perfect repair no mor noise and i saved
