Plugs for 1.8t vRS

Featured Replies

HI

Would I be correct in saying that the correct plug gap for the mk1 octy vrs is 0.7mm? And that the NGK PFR6Q's come pre gapped to 0.7mm? (obviously I would check the gap before fitting...).

Thanks

Phil

i thought it was 0.8mm for the 20v engines. but they will come pre-gapped anyway

Swapped over to Denso Iridium SVK 20 RZ8 on my Octy vRs a while ago, more response than the standard ones, and you do notice the difference.

Also pre gapped at 0.7mm

well i dont know about the skoda variant but the agu 150bhp version uses 0.8mm gap plugs.

I had mine set to 0.6 to take strain off coil packs having to boost spark power on re-mapped models, they do this alot on subaru models to stop misfiring and aid smoother running
