Milltek exhausts (again... sorry :) )

Featured Replies

Can anyone offer first-hand advice on choice of cat-back exhaust for 2002 vRS?

Milltek appear to offer 2 versions, one with front silencer/resonator and one without. I'm presuming the 2-box system will be quieter, but how much noisier is the single boxed version?

I'm getting too old for racey exhausts LOL and am particularly not willing to tolerate anything that will drone at cruising speeds.

May as well chuck blueflame into the discussion as well I guess, build quality and fit are likely to be similar I expect?

Cheers

Rich

I had the same dilema,in the end i chose the non res centre and its not any louder than std @70-80 mph but when on boost @3-4000rpm it comes alive and is just right,i have since looked @ blueflame v Miltek in the way of quality and imo the Miltek is a better made peace of kit but don,t forget there are others Supersprint, jetex

I have a Jetex cat back and ran it with a Milltek dp and sports cat......wasn't any louder than standard but definately meatier in sound.

Fitted perfectly first time...I know there have been some problem with Millteks not hanging properly and Blueflames knocking on the rear beam.

Now run it with a 3'' dp and sports cat (IHI turbo) and it's definately louder and deeper in sound....turbo and dp are the main culprits.;)

Supersprint are very good systems but very expensive.

Woudl say not worth getting cat back on it's own if your looking for gains.....dp/cat will give you a load more torque and sound.
