dont you just love the properties of RF and Electromagnetic emissions

err no!! they are one of the biggest respective pains in the ar$e when trying to hand make your own wiring loom for an aftermarket ecu!!

i'm not saying that this rf stuff cant be very usefull tho.:rolleyes:

yeah i tried that too, but i was getting noise from the alternator filtering throught the the hall sender signal. but the screened cables bit halp a lot in reducing this problem.

TV detector vans worked because the local oscillator in the superhet receiver used to radiate (leak) out some of it's energy out through the TV antenna. The detector van used to pick this up, and it's how they used to try and look clever telling you what channel you were watching because the L.O used to beat away just below or above the channel frequency. Not sure if LCD and plasma, or any modern TV tuners still use that as they're digital tuners.

and I believe it applies to LCD and Plasma

You can pick up the image from the RF radiation produced by the graphics card (if we're talking about a PC) or the scaler (if we're talking LCD or plasma).
