been checking out the vRS clips on youtube and I saw the WRC car in action.

What sort of similarities / differences are there between the WRC car and the vRS or 4x4?

Might be easier to list the similarities

FMIC, 4WD, sequential gearbox is a start.

Is the lump similar at all, or a completely different engine?

Any ideas of the power output?

The name

The engine block of the Octavia WRC is the same as the RS but it is born out to 2 litres in the WRCar and has a power output of around 300BHP with 500+nm torque.

Other than that, not much, apart from the bodyshell as has been mentioned

The engine is quite different using bespoke management/fueling/turbo etc.

Not to mention suspension, brakes and the fact its 4wd.

Is that pic the Fabia WRC ? Is it the same engine which was used in the Octy WRC ?

Your right Gaff that is the Fabia WRC, as far as I know the running gear is just a development of the Octavia set up.
