Gutted...

Nice one mate. By the way you are not insured in a carpark as it is classed as private property and your insurance is void if you bump or get bumped into by another vehicle. This is why I always park as far away as I can from the entrance.

Not true in any UK car insurance policy i've ever seen. Certainly my cover has always covered it and it would make the whole thing ridiculous if it excluded private property (i.e. your own drive etc).

Thats rubbish, my insurance company paid out back in August for repairs on damage caused to my car on a private car park.

No details left on that incident, by the way Blade.... I wish the other party had been as honest and decent and left their details

Sorry about the car... but good to see some honest people out there

Last weekend, whilst at the supermarket, I witnessed a Land Rover Discovery reverse straight into an 06 plate Mazda . The Disco owner knew I'd seen him, so he pulled forward into another space. I went into the supermarket and then looked out, as soon as I was inside I saw him drive off without leaving a note :finger:. Well bad luck Mr Land Rover Discovery, registration number K96 BOL from Banbury, because I left a note on your behalf with your registration details on the Mazda's windscreen! Personally, I think this dimwits actions are inexcusable.

Now that i really like

Not if it has open access to the public, then its an extension of the public highway. Its only classed as private if it closed off by a fence or gate. iirc.

And even if it is closed off by a fence or gate, your still covered.

Sorry to hear about your car, Blade.

He admitted it though, which is good. Simple claim and no cost to you...

Yeah for that I am thankful... Just glad it'll soon all be sorted :D

Except the depreciation to your car if the new wing doesn't match perfectly or the paint is slightly off colour!

Most repaired crash damage can be spotted if you know what to look for.

Well it's being repaired by a VAG approved bodyshop and chances are the car will end up back at a dealers when I come to replacing it. Also the damage is cosmetic only.

Dropped the car off at the bodyshop on Tuesday and picked up my courtesy car.. a Toyota Corolla with only 1500 miles on the clock!

Not a bad car... felt well put together, 1.6 petrol engine was nippy enough, but it beeped at you for everything.. like key in the ignition and door open, engine running and your seat belt wasn't on.. it did feel a tad dull as wel.

Picked my car up today (Friday) all nice, shiny and most importantly dent free!! :D
