How much is my car worth??

Featured Replies

Any ideas?

I am semi-contemplating selling to get something like a mondeo TDCi and reduce running costs.

Not entirely sure if it is worth bothering though. Just sort of testing the water at the moment.

Got a rough trade in price over the phone from a place that had a mondeo TDCi Zetec-s. They reckon about 6k for mine but i never said it was modified. Will this make a big difference to my trade in value?? Apart from the obvous spolier on the back it looks fairly standard, do i need to tell them about the other mods?

Anyway how much do you lot reckon my motor is worth private or trade in. It has got a full service history and only done 24K, 2004 on a 53 plate

You can access free Glass's valuations via Vauxhall's website, scan the menus at the top and you will see "value my car" ,better than Parkers or What Car.

Remember that the trade sometimes refers to Glass'a valuations as J Lo s as the the true valuation is A GRAND BEHIND:)

if your thinking about changing the car for pure running cost reasons how much are you going to save in running costs sompared to how much its going to cost you to change? you'll lose money on your, have to pay extra for the car and then probably have to extend finance so over the next couple of years you are looking at spending thousands extra to save a bit of money in fuel.

I have already thought this too.

None of the dealers near me would touch my vRS, except for one who offered me less than book because when they sell the car, to put a warranty on it costs a lot more than a standard car. If you are selling to a dealer return the car to standard if possible and sell the mods separately. Also dont mention to them that its currently modified if thats what you intend to do.

I think i will probably keep things as they are for now. Then next year get some sort of diesel to replace the wifes car, then i will have the best of both worlds:thumbup:
