Thanks for that, i'll give him a try. Having been informed my car is boosting at 2 bar, yes, 2 bar, the sooner it's off the better.

Dave just ask the dealer to flash it back to standard for you.

How can you find out how much your car is boosting? Just out of interest.

Can a dealer find out?

Vag-com.

I asked a while ago Stu, but they didn't think they could - ie don't know how to......

I'll book it at my Revo dealer for flashing back. Then send Celtic the bill.

Get in touch with them first mate, incase they take no responisibilty. Then you're left with the bill.

Grahams Mobile: number removed - please use PM. Hope this helps.

When I spoke to AMD a while back they said they take a copy of your map and keep it on file just incase anything happened to the car which required it to go back to original. Apprently they should all do this for that reason. I was looking at SE/SCC and Celtic are offering a group buy so maybe the mod there will have a contact number. Worth a try.

Guys, I understand that there are some problems, but please, DO NOT post mobile phone numbers on a public forum. Even the crooks have rights

Thank you :)

Seems you need to be a member of that forum to access the thread.:(

Well, I just checked the thread, had to sign up, but they are actively running a GB over on that site as of a week or so ago.

So, they are around it would seem, so keep on trying folks

"the way in which we design our remaps is to ensure you get the maximum performance with out comprimising the reliability or longevity of the engine.

In respect to the clutch in order to achieve the torque figures that we do is by limiting the peak torque in at around 2800rpm and provide a solid smooth power curve up to this point. This ensures that your clutch is engaged and drivetrain is in motion before placing such power delivery throughout the system. With out doing so can cause instant clutch slip or clutch failure after a few thousand miles.

We can tailor the design of the remap to the customer but to ensure the remap does not cause such problems we tend to have reduce the power output slightly if low end power delivery is requested.

Our technicians will always ensure that you are happy with the performance of the vehicle before leaving you and moving onto the next vehicle.

Hope this helps.

Given the content of this thread...I'd pay a little extra and know I can get hold of them...words are words...here's one I found:

If you were to have a PD160 intake and free flow filter fitted then we can obtain 1950bhp and 315lbft.

...If you catch my drift, I've been stung by fancy words before.

...people have had maps done by them, personally I'd go to a partner of this site, as they have had the the resouces and inclination to support this site and community.

Also if you have a problem you know you can get hold of them...just my 2 p worth.

How can you find out how much your car is boosting? Just out of interest.

Can a dealer find out?

I'm aware of a Celtic tuned car that a dealer has checked the inlet manifold pressure and it peaked at 2.9bar ( ) on a spirited drive.

Please forgive my ignorance but is this reading the same as the boost the turbo is producing? If not can it be calculated from this?

2.9 Bar you HAVE to be kidding?!

Take away atmospheric pressure (1bar) and you are left with 1.9 bar - still enough to chew a turbo.

Jesus. Will have to come off soon then I'm affraid if this is true.

Take away atmospheric pressure (1bar) and you are left with 1.9 bar - still enough to chew a turbo.

Similar to the one I logged

The same car has also been on surreyrollingroad and only produced 164bhp and 270ftlbs at the fly.

Something doesn't seem right...

Has anyone been able to get hold of Celtic to get them to remove the map and restore the std one?

May I suggest that no one use celtic anymore due to their track record of breaking clutches, turbo's and appauling customer service by the sounds of things. Jabba, AmD, JBS (Custom Code) or REVO are your best bets. You might pay a bit more but then there's an old saying here which I think applies. "You get what you pay for".

Chris.
