1.4 8v tuning

Featured Replies

how can i change mi 8v block for a 16v, this is posible what parts do i have to change, the cuestion is because i wanna start a project with my fabia. give all the help you can.

The 1.4 8v is a version of the old push rod unit found in all skodas except the Octavia over the last 40 years. The 16v version is the 1.4 OHC VW unit that has been around in various forms for the last 20 years.

So the short answer is you will need a totally different engine.

the 1.4 8v is an okay engine and makes a lovely noise as you bounce it off the rev limiter :new_evil: .

Why not chop the car in for a 16v instead of ripping the engine out it should work out cheaper in the long run?
