Octavia GT and Fabia Sport Edition

Featured Replies

The greek Skoda importer are selling an 'Octavia GT' based on the Octy 1 vRS, but with a 193BHP version of the 1.8T engine and a 'Fabia Sport Edition' interior of the Fabia Sport, bodykit of the RS and a 116BHP 1.4 petrol engine?!

My question is, are these later evolutions of those engines or have they been chipped byt the greek importer? Anyone speak Greek:confused: ???

I think the 193 bhp version of the 1.8t was available in the Audi A4 , though I don't know how it differfed from the 180

Nah, I wondered that but the other Octavia engines Skoda Greece list have normal figures, plus take a look at the performance figs :)

Looking at page eight of the Octy GT, the badge with 193 BHP looks as though its an official one from Skoda as opposed to a dealer stick on after he chipped it.

And they also seem to be selling the octy 1 with a 101bhp 1.9tdi.

Sounds like the PD100 to me which was never used over here

the version audi used was the 190PS 1.8T differences from the 180 were twin intercoolers like cupra r and s3

never heard of a 193bhp one tho

I seem to remember REVO having been used in the past by SEAT in Greece for a special edition Ibiza, so maybe they, or another tuner have been involved here with 'factory' approval.

nice seats in the Fabia , are they the same as the seats in the british version of the Fabia SPORT ?

Yes they are.

They are the same as the ones in the VRS with a dark grey cloth covering rather than the white and black one.

The Fabia brochure looks shopped to me.

That is one of the original publicity shots for the vRS, even has the V badge still on it and Sport dubbed over the top of the original plate. Plus its got vRS wheels on it but a picture of an Octavia alloy on the additional bits.

it is in greece tho! in the new octavia brocure they still have the xenons from the old octy mk1 aswell as the fabia brocure having the octys pics in it too

I remember that brochure with the black combi and the silver saloon side by side.

Don't remember the rather nice girls in the pic.Which is odd.Because I would.

Have all UK Mk1's been sold I wonder?

Whoa....that badge is cool...

Ummm I'd love to know how did they get the extra 15 BHP in the 1.4 engine :P

I don't think you should give any clues as to what your car has under the bonnet!

Nice pics though Azzouz.Odd the wheels are smaller 16" rather than going to 18"
