There is such a huge ammount of inaccurate, unbelievably ignorant rubbish in this thread.

Everyone, take off your blinkers and loose the tunnel vision glasses...... other manufacturers outside the VAG group can and do make good cars that could possibly beat your Skoda in a "race" - especially in the real world where corners and traffic are involved.

So if you can bring a modded Fabia, can I provide a modded VTS? Purile arguement IMHO, compare like with like.

what did that vid proove? they were neck and neck off the mark, and it was on a back street, i know if id have been in either id have held back because of what accidents could very easily happened, until i see it on a track i aint taking any notice of that vid

i can confirm a remapped VRS will make a VTS look silly! if i can get my mate to race me again (on a private road) i will make a little vid to put this to sleep

i thought the 106 gti was quite good to drive... well not comfortable..... i mean it was fun and really very nippy too! i reckon one of those things would take a chipped fabia vrs like a king easy!

quite true... i've never own a chitroen buy i have worked on them. and some of thier stuff is naff!! but the the newer ones are a lot better now. the new c2 vtr(or gt or whatever it's called) for instance is a brilliantly engineered car
