I wouldn't mind some HID living in North Wales, but having had a look at the engine bay this morning I can't help getting worried about where would I fit the ballast ( is there one or two ballast? ) I have a Carbonio CAI in the bay too so that doesn't help matters.

There are two ballests - one for each side. Is there not room on the back of the headlight unit itself? My vRS has factory fit xenons and the ballest is screwed onto the back of the unit.

I retro fitted xenon's to my old 206 and mounting the ballest was a problem which I overlooked so you are right to think it through now! lol.

How big is the ballast box?

I too have just put my name down for some and didnt even think about that

Good timing for this question to come up as I had mine fitted yesterday.

Ive just been out to take a few quick photos. My mate who did it managed to get two 10mm bolts through each ballast bracket - they are rock solid and use oe holes to locate the bolts.

Passenger side - side of battery tray... right in the centre of the second pic under the cable (shows as white in the photo)...

Cant see much but give me a really good idea where to put them, cheers for that

They arent great for clarity but once you look in your engine bay and have the ballastes to hand it should make more sense
