TBH after driving Shiftys i was absolutely amazed how tractable and torquey the TFSI is. i was expecting to stall because the furby has tought me quite a lazy attitude to driving under 2000rpm and early gear changes. but it had such a strong mid range he kept having to shout at me to stop changing up early :rofl:

Our Petrol demonstrator has been doing high 30s, the TDI is not run in yet but is already into the 40s, I'll keep you updated as things progress

Yes but shifty isn't driving a standard petrol VRS so i think his expectations are a bit scewed.

Personally I loved the way the engine drove, it's just a shame that you get so little in terms of toys for the money. A 2.0TDCI focus is a lot cheaper and has a lot more toys that a VRS, especially after the dealer discount is applied.

Saying that still looking at the new Octy, just in an undecided state as to which one.
