Hi Folks, I'm new to the site and had a flyer stuck under my window by Devonutopia whilst on hols in Torquay! I've had my 54 plate VRS for approx 3 months and already the front discs are warped. I'm happy with the standard set up but remember from my day with Peugeot that most brake componants were supplied direct by the likes of Girling/Bendix etc. You could buy the exact same bits direct from Lucas agents etc for a fraction of the dealer cost.

Does anyone happen to know if this is the case with the VRS and if so where I can source genuine (non dealer) parts?

cant answer that 1 m8. but golfturbo does 312's fairly cheap off the audi tt's.

The front brakes are made by ATE. Euro Car Parts, GSF etc maight be a good start on getting gen parts cheaper than a dealer.

The vRS comes with 312`s as standard.

We do Tarox and a new company called ZeroSixty

These are lovely looking discs and are NOT that expensive over OEM prices

They are dimpled and grooved to help with cooling.

They do look really nice , and with the cooling these should last longer

I had the Tarox G88 discs and fast road pads on all four wheels recently and cannot fault them, real improvement over OEM.

Go to Awesome you "MIGHT" even get Sarah to make you a cuppa. Go wearing leathers and you will for certain:P
