Whats the engine code of the felicia 1.9D engine? Is it the same engine as found in the Mk3 golf 1.9D?

there was no Mk2 Golf or Polo TDI though, there was however a Mk2 Golf TD

I dont know if its the same engine found in the VW T25 van , but my mate has just junked his non turbo engine in favour of a TDI in his bus , I'm not sure if they use the 1.9 engine though.

no the td engine cant be fitted to a felicia easily, becuase they are totally different engine blocks and the mounting points are in different places... the mk3 tdi lump would be the best place to start, but it would be a nightmare!!! also there isn't much space behind the diesel engine and above the subframe for the turbo/downpipe to fit it

bottom line is. felicia engine bay is a very quear place. the only engines i know of that fit the felicia are the 1.3spi, 1.3mpi, 1.6mpi(aee), and the 1.9d.

it is of course possibly to fit other engines with custom mounts etc..... i've been thinking about doing the whole lupo gti thing into a felicia fo a long time now:)

IIRC the kit was quoted at +100 bhp. (so about 175 total)

i think that is a big 'ask' for the standard internals of the 1.6, as you well know the boggo conrods in this engine are made of cheese, or so it seems....

i've fitted a few of these kits to paxo's and 106's.... not too keen on them either, they have a seperate oil catch tank/pump and all the hoses etc.... it's a pain finding a place to put all that stuff in the engine bay of a vts saxo

IIRC (again) the kit included new conrods and pistons, the charger pipework and an intercooler plus a modified ECU.

were th hell do i get one? how reliable is it with the new rods and all.

remember, it is possible to fit a g40 supercharger to the 1600 engine, you dont even need to fabricate any mounts for it, just use oe ones

err, yes, but it would require a cut-n-shut on the wiring loom

iirc it has a magnetti marelli 1av and you can get them done by superchips
