I've ordered an Octavia diesel 2.0 Elegance with DSG. I've seen a few comments that it doesn't do smooth gear changes and can be clunky. Do you think I should have gone for a manual instead?

Also, when did the 2007 Octavia start getting made?

DSG should be smooth, if its clunky its got an issue.

Im not 100% sure on the limits of the DSG in this guise.

But the theory of DSG has a massive 'limit'. Think Bugatti Veyron.

Thanks. That makes me feel better about it. Just the question of waiting 11 weeks now before I get to drive it. I test drove the Sport (manual) and was amazed that there was absolutely no diesel lag at all.
