Fabia VRs Special Edition

Featured Replies

Hi All, popped into the the dealers today to see whats happening and he mentioned that Skoda will be releasing a special edition Fabia VRs

(2000 only). Has any one heard this? Whats the spec? All he knows is it's blue and has leather interier.

Hope this isn't old news to you lots... But I'd be grateful for any info.

When the special editions appear, that's a clear sign that the model is getting 'tired' and the manufacturer wants to keep sales going before the new model comes out. Cautious buyers know that the trade-in values plunge when the new model is released, so the special editions and extra goodies are intended to tempt you.

Well it's fairly common knowledge that the Fabia is due to be replaced next year though the new VRS probably won't be on sale at first.

With that in mind I wouldn't be entirely surprised if they did a special edition furby in the same race blue that the new Octy comes in , though I've not seen any mention of it on here before..

which is your local dealer? Ill e-mail mine and ask if they know anything

I'm assuming this isn't the long awaited 4x4 WRC special Fabia then?! Agree with others, sounds just like a specced-up runout model :D

Chris

Not sure that race blue would would suit a Fabia to be honest?

Looks good on the Octy though.

Rear leccy windows???? Watch everyone trade in then!

Hi Blackmagic,

my local dealer is Motorline Canterbury.

Ive just e-mailed FR Pulleyn at york. Ill let you know what they say.

Went down to my local dealer today and they have a spec sheet for a 200BHP 2.0 TFSI FABIA VRS  and a nicely presented picture of a FABIA VRS in the Racing blue you just spoke about. The windows looked nicely tinted aswell.

I have asked for details to be sent. Can't wait :)

Hmm that sounds interesting, but it sounds like a lot of trouble to go to for a run out model - plus it loses the Fabia's usp - DIESEL

Would be nice to see though.

lol, aint it funny how the old rumour mill comes around every now and again.

Skoda wouldnt invest loads of money putting the 2.0 turbo engine in a model that is ending next year as far as i would guess anyhow. They are hardly known for being big risk takers.

Bloody hell - 2.0TFSI Fabia - that would be amazing.

I NEED to know more about that.

I'd be very tempted by a runout ltd edition vRS tbh... :)

did I not say it has the 4x4 system the same as the one in the octavia 4x4:thumbup:

I put my name down for one, at 16995 it's a steal!

Agreed, it would involve massive investment. They would have to change everything - brakes, suspension just for a couple of things.

They could perhaps use th 150bhp Tdi engine to give a boost, but I would think any runout model will be limited to extra spec i.e Leather / Xenons etc and maybe some different colours or a bodykit.

I would think they will probably use the TSi twin charger engine in the new car.

WTF!!!!

That would be one hell of LE Fabia

But why would they bother to commission a new engine for the last 2/3 months of production?

Anyway............keep us posted, sounds awesome!

are people taking the mickey or are these really going into production? i want one!!!

Just spoken to a man that knows, and he suggested that a 2.0 tfsi would be ridiculous, but has been told of a POSSIBLE run out Fabia vRS featuring Race Blue Paint, and some options. He told me to expect the current powereplant.
