Furby vRS Learner Car!!!

Featured Replies

Spotted a furby vRS learner car tonight on my way home  .

It was a proper stickered up instructors car too, bet anyone who learns in that and then passes will come back down to earth with a bump when they have to drive a 1litre shopping trolley for years cos the insurance costs prohibit anything else  .

I'm turning into a right vRS spotter now, first thing I look for when I see another skud is the little striped badge on the grill :D .

Sallys?

Ha Ha Ha..................plop! :(

There's also one in Plymouth - was very suprised when it pulled up outside and the guy got out and placed his sign on the roof.

He was teaching our next door neighbour's daughter.

I did a double take as it was parked right next to our silver one.

Sallys is that red one in Burnham IIRC?

I saw a Citroen C4 VTS learner car the other day. in white  it did look really nice tbh.

What a car to learn in. I learnt to drive in a proton Wira!

Yeah there are some VERY quick learner cars now.... ;)

there is a learner vrs fabia in lisburn where i live. it sickens me everytime that learners get to use it! i learnt in a 1.1 saxo!

My wife learned to drive in a 3.0s Capri (mine) and then went out and bought a 750cc Panda which lasted her for years.

lol.... how's your only 100bhp learner car going then Andy?! (I wish you could type with sarcasm ;) ) bet yours suprises people more than mine does! ;)

I seem to remember a vRS learner car in Cumbria today...... oh yes, that was me

Oh thats nothing.

A driving instructor around my area had a Porsche 911 as a learner car - and I`m not joking!

Usually instructors in Denmark drives BMW 3-series, Passat, Octavia, Volvo V40 and S60. And of course small cars for girls and/or girly men. :D

Here we have to learn in the instructors car, were not allowed to drive other cars until we have our licence.

PS: Took my licence in a BMW 320D, nice car.

Not for normal lessons / test as the DSA guys would moan if there was no rear seat for suprvising examiners. I will look at insuring it to do Pass Plus next year though as it might be a good selling point.

Hi I am a learner driver just bought my first car at weekend apparently I am a natural :-) I only got my provisional 3 weeks ago!. I got a nice lil 1.3 felicia , candy white and worth twice what I paid for her. I am a proud owner now of a skoda :-). I learn in a VW polo with power steering ect.. but I love my 1.3 and prefer to drive it to my instructors any day. Would like to know though if any other make of car ie VW is compatable with my 98 felicia for body kit , parts ect. Need to make her look beautiful on a budget :-)

The above friend just tried to buy a Golf GT to use as his learner car (the 170bhp turbo/supercharged 1.4) but couldn't insure it... group 17 I think! :(

Really becasue my dad saw a Mk5 Golf TDi GT driving school car the other day.

oh yes, they said they'd insure him on the GT TDi, I'm talking about (as written! ) the 1.4 turbo/supercharged model.... the GT comes with both engines....

Hmmm, insurance is getting difficult for interesting cars to teach in by the look of it. My insurers told me that the Fabia vRS was h pushing it a bit, but I know of people teaching in Fiesta & Focus STs, 1 series beemers, Ibiza FR etc. The MR2 is, I think, group 13, so might be on.

Chris

he looked at the BMW 120d.... we had it for a whole afternoon to drive, it only had 500 miles on it, but the engine was poor, and rattled all the way through the interior.... it was on for insurance though..... one of the best handling cars I've driven....
