Just installed IE7.

Takes a bit of getting used to, but does include tabbed browsing and phishing protection.

Any else tried it?

Downloaded the beta version a few months back. It looked good (with the tabs) but I access a web based system for work that uses some kind of java plug in and it killed it so it had to go. Shame really, i liked the look of it!

i'm using it now running on windoze vista rc1 all seem's fine at the moment

been using it since Beta1 came out. Going back to IE6 is like going back in time!

MPM :D

I've not bothered as I've been happily using Firefox for a while now. Am I missing out?

Chris

i find it a bit firefoxy myself havin said that i don't use firefox much

Just installed it myself. Hmm gonna take a bit of getting used to. I prefer my favourites to be a drop down list - not a sidebar. If you put the menu bar on to get that, you loose the amount of page that can be viewed.Still I suppose I'll get used to it.

its trying to copy all the useful features mozzilla / firefox has had and not quite hitting the mark.

I also find it slower than other browsers

yeah i think your right it is a bit slow

Activate the classic menu on the toolbar menu and your favorites will appear in a tab / drop down menu stylie.

Also if you hold the Ctrl key and scroll the whell on your mouse, the page reduces / increases in size. This is handy when your veiwing is made smaller by a sidebar.

Happy IE7'ing, but use Firefox.

Tried it, not impressed, Firefox is in a different league.

Is IE7 a full product yet? Not allowed to install beta software here.

Its an RC1 Release this time round, which is just a posher term for the latter / finalizing versions of a beta product, before its full working release.

Still a Beta product in my mind. It should be a Windows Update when its in its full edition.

Yeah, but Firefox has more security holes than a siv!

and besides, because its not MS, it means that it'll never work as well with all the extra bits and pieces that are available.

I've been using IE7 since it came beta 1 and it has the functionality of firefox with the integrationability (if there is such a word) of a proper MS product.

I'm running IE7... so so much better than IE6.. it's like finally being in 2006!!

Sticking with firefox and safari here... :)

Used IE7 briefly when i had a play with vista.. looked very much like Safari :)
