Could someone please confirm that this is still going on and where we are meeting.

Plus if anyone wants any odds or sods (Viper DV's, cleaning stuff, etc) let me know and if I can i'll bring some along.

Yes it is still on and it is at the same place as last week mentioned in the other threads.

I'll be there....

I would say yes, but haven't seen SWMBO in just over a week, so shall be spending some quality time with her! ;) See you guys soon and hope you have fun.

Ross,

I'll be there, you were going to bring some upholstery protector to Duxford for me IIRC? I'd appreciate if you could bring it today.

Ta,

Andy

Seeing as though the weather is much better this morning, I will be there. If only to say hello to everyone and put some faces to names.

i'll be there,am just leaving now.

was a heavy day at the wedding yesterday, not my wedding i hasten to add.

see you in a minute!!!!

Alex

Got back a while ago now, It was nice to put some faces to some more names. Thanks Alex for getting both of these meets together. I hope you all had good drive in the countryside.

got back a while ago,the drive out was good, some very nice roads.

nice scenery if i could see past the Fabia vRS's clouds of smoke....hahaha

was good to meet some more people and put a face to there log-in names.we'll have to do this again v.soon, when my shift pattern allows.

if anybody else has any other idea's or knows of anything going on then let us all know so we can get it arranged with lots of time to spare.

here's one for you all,GTI International in May,i'll be going,Sunday no doubt.

how would people feel about the BRISKODA.net site getting in touch with the organisers and having a group of cars go up there.

would be good for advertiseing the website/club.

or what about trying to organise something with Jabbasport and having a Few cars on/around there stand.

this is just a few ideas, perhaps someone could set up a poll to find out what other people's views are,i don't have a clue how to do!!!

anyway thanks again, great to meet everyone, see you all soon

Alex

Was a good little meet, nice to have a chin wag with fellow Briskodians.

Fabia's leading the way as allways :)

I'm up for meeting at Inters, i'll be there but probably working.

I'll be at Inters once again. Was there last year with the 16v on a stand. Shall be there again with the vRS this year! :D Will be taking a blast up the strip this year too.

Great day out, the gps replay is quite good for some parts ;) the speed goes up and down like a yo-yo! Cheers to all who turned up and the black vrs from surrey who I had fun with on the way home! Thank goodness for traffic as it stopped him disappearing TOO far ahead!!!! Still the TDI did not disgrace itself and in general kept pace throught the day......

Thanks everyone for a great afternoon. :thumb:

Andy, I think that was probably the quickest I've done a full lap of the M25, your TDI did not disgrace itself at all.

Ross, as for your "Fabia's leading the way" quote, you always put the slowest cars at the front, just so the Octy's could shepherd you lot along - ha,ha!

See you again soon,

Andy

If that was the case, why did me and Andy always seem to lose the "real" rs' and i have a feeling that the clouds of black somke were only coming from me :tongue2:

That's because I was stuck behind Ross ;) , and I'm sure he'll verify I was never off his back bumper (getting covered in soot and being sprayed by stones from his back tyres!)

Andy

excuses, excuses. as long as you had a good time, thats all that matters, apart from getting lost in the pit of dispair known as Harlow.

and i was at the back looking after all of you!!!!!

was a very good day.

have any of you seen the 'Jan 31st meet at Jabbasport'???

meeting at 11:30-12,anybody fancy going along?

i'm trying to sort my shift's out at the moment so will keep you all up to date.

Alex

I was thinking of it, but Fulham are at home to spurs, which is my first priority, and i've no chance of even getting the day off for that

Jrff only kept up with you due to the gps as your smoke screen mod is VERY effective. Still I knew when to floor it....... BLACK SMOKE.......... FLOOR TDI...... watch gps screen to see where to goand when I could see it was a vrs that was getting twitchy!!!

The funny thing is checked my oil level today and got a shock!!! I think it definately cleared its throat on Sunday.

Move of the day was someone who floored it off the tolls at Dartford and went like a rocket down the A2 lane whilst I was stuck behind someone in the correct overtaking lane. :bat_angel

Indeed I dare say you were stuck behind me.

Having seen how close Andy came every now and again to the back of Rooboy and the amount of blind corners I wasnt about to stuff my car in.

Leave the racing to the track.

True Ross, but with the ammount of soot coming out of Rooboy I still kept a resonable distance. This was down to Rooboy hanging it all out as he knew the road and like you say some of the corners where blind . I tried to keep the 2 second time gap on the corners and ok down the straights and under braking maybe not always. Like you say racing is for the track as long as everyone is sensible about speed/speed limits and separation distances their is nothing wrong with having a good run down a public road. Lets be honest Rooboy or anyone else wrecking their car is a pain but not the end of the world. If I do it I lose my source of income hence when I could open her up SAFELY I did. As we know from other meets it pays not to go TOO mad......

If I'm honest, i Knew most of the route and done a diversions to make it last longer, using educated guesses once i got to roydon. I don't use the roads that often (If at all), but i am (Normally) a good judge of the road although i nearly lost it a few times as Andy will agree when he wasn't up my backside.(just kidding) Appologies to those who came the week before as the route last sunday was much better, if anything like this happend again, we will do the route to harlow unless anyone finds a better route.

I have put 3 pics into my briskoda gallery (not the one on my website) use the gallery link above or click "My Gallery" below.
