Briskoda Stickers

Featured Replies

Chris... I said i'd join, don't get me wrong, but the more people moan at me to join the less likely i am. I have said i will when i get paid, but you know when you go from one pay cheque to the next with no spare money it isn't just as easy as throwing the money around. Sure since the stickers and freedom are similar the latter makes more sense.

I used to work for an ISP and i am currently a systems and software engineer, i am fully aware of bandwith and server and update costs as well as advertisinng revenue. Forums cost to run yes, but without people contributing back then they wouldn't last very long.

Colin whats required for a cheque, or could an online transfer be done?

I'd quite like just the 'B' design as a sticker, if that's possible in future?

Just like :

Indeed it is...more in 14 days time I hope.

Paypal

I generally don't do paypal as they are not regulated by the FSA.

We run a paypal shop over on uk-mkivs - Blogs for stickers, works well and means that people can order there and then. I ship them out and usually people have them within a few days!

You can also pay by Nochex as I did ... which is regulated by the FSA

Great news, good to hear - cheers Col

Steve

Hmmm ok nochex sounds better

Used them a lot and NEVER had a problem :D

I don't care wether people have had problems, the fact is that should i have problems (and i know mates who have) they are unregulated by the FSA and there is no easy way to go up the chain short of court.

I can't be doing with that.

 Suit yourself. I was only stating my experience with them.

I use pay pal a lot

and have only had a problem once

The bad thing is that paypal were as much use as a chocolate fireguard when i was making a complaint

So i would never send a large payment via paypal ,just use them for small amounts

I think that's the main issue that was being raised above. Yes, their system works and works well. But if you end up having an issue or problem, you tend to be up a certain creek without a paddle!:mad:

Steve

Sorry Chris, no offence meant, but as stated in last two posts, thats exactly the problem.

I have seen people loose £200 on paypal with paypal going oh thats nice well you know your problem. No matter how much they have improved, I won't touch them with a bargepole until i can go to a regulator who can jump up and down on them.

The FSA could terminate any company regulated by it, all paypal customer services can do it say thats nice and laugh at you. Then you are in court and on your own.

It is a very good point and one I'd not thought about until now. Just as well I only really use it for small purchases, from eBay.

But they're in the mainstream now, especially as they're pretty much the default payment method for eBay, and we all know usage there is growing daily. So if they're wanting to be used and trusted, they'll need to sign up to regulation.

Steve

Steve

If they do that i might trust them, but until then...
