Got my copy of Evo today and it has a feature on the R8, it looks fantastic, more so on the interior than exterior.

Not read the full review yet but it looks a serious competitor to the 911 and makes the Gallardo look expensive with especially with it's old Audi switchgear when the R8 has new much nicer controls.

Does look superb, just had a flick through the mag now.

As a note though, the Gallardo will be getting bespoke switchgear for '07 apparently. Would still probably plump for the Audi though :drool:

Yeah I know the Gallardo will be getting new switchgear but the R8 interior looks alot better than the current gallardo.

Is there plans for a more powerful version or is it a one engine model?

I believe there are to be 2 engines. Autocar mentioned something a week or so back

A 500bhp version would be nice. Also spotted something I don't like; the massive decals on the brake calipers, they just look tacky, a smaller audi logo would looked far better IMHO.

Got my copy too. Can't say I was all that impressed with the Audi. I really don't like those lights all the Audis seem to be getting. The front LED ones. The Orange GT3 looked much nicer imo!

I tend to spend more time looking at the interior of cars I own though.

I really like the R8 from the front and rear but side on it is a bit awkward looking.
