Are you getting your leg over?

Featured Replies

... far enough, when you get out of your vRS? Being of an undertall disposition, I wasn't, with the result that I was flexing the 'wing' on the side of the seat as I got in and out. After 47K miles, it was time for a new seat foam pad (6Y0881375Q, about

I haven't noticed that yet, so will have to keep my eye out for it.

The only thing i've noticed i keep catching is the height adjust lever on the side of the seat.

yes I have a similar issue with being undertall and that part of the seat always gets pushed downwhen I get out of the car. maybe I need to have another method of leaving the car not to ruin my seat foam. Dukes of the Hazard stylee me thinks!

This always used to happen with Golfs and Sciroccos tears ago too.

This always used to happen with Golfs and Sciroccos years ago too.

And my Dads Mk1 Polo!

I'll look out for this also. Although, i take care when entering and leaving the car.

With that, the height adjuster and the dirt on the lower door aperture getting in and out's a risky business

You sure this is not a consequence of having retro fit leather seats, maybe the trimmer had not positioned the frame/padding correctly during fitment of the leather!

I'm nearing 37k on my March 04 clothed vrs with no problems with the bolsters. Apart from the usual dirt and grime my seats are fine.

I had exactly the same and with leather too, fortuatly it was covered under warranty and the dealer done a splendid job of replacing the foam.

good job skoda have not seen the size of my A$$ or they may not have paid out :D

i had the same problem, i had this after only 12000 miles, made the seat very uncomfortables to sit on, this was with the cloth trim and i had it fixed under warranty. Since had the leather retrim and after about year with the leather the seat is still fine, i think having the extra padding with the leather helps .

yeah, i used to have a mk2 golf with seats like that, they were rely painfull to sit in after a while!!

No there was nothing wrong with the fitting (I watched him do it). The foam was located properly on the seat pan, and the cover on the foam. It was the metal rod inside the foam that caused the problem.

think this happens with most buckety seats eventually - my corrado and my golf mk2 both did this. (i'm not a fat knacker, either!). didn't know you could get new bolsters though...coool....
