is there any need for this? try to be objective. some knives and fork don't look attractive (some don't anyway;) ) but they do a job, similarly to mudflaps, they are designed to do a job, aslong as t

  • I'm sorry - but have you had your eyes removed? That looks quite frankly - ****! You have ruined that car. The black ones are no better. They look like a cheap slut's vinyl mini skirt with vRS badges

as fitted to my mk2 vRS about 1 hour ago.....

Cheers for the link Fluffmeister!!

They look really good, can't wait to see the Furby set fitted. I can see the credit card getting an outing again!

Ok, I am liking the look of the flaps fitted to the Octy so how do I go about getting some for my Fabia? They are still not available on their website so is there going to be a group buy on these or something? Sorry for the impatience:O

Well when Performance creations sort them out for Keiths then we will all be able to buy some.

Apparently some minor mods going on before the template for full production is made.

they look good on the Octavia so should look good on the fabia plus the fabia is more stocky and will suit the wider look of the mudflaps

This is my 1st time posting pics...so fingers crossed :)

Here is a side view of the flaps fitted (my kids had to wash the car...so its not perfect!!!)

and from another angle

as yopu can see the rear flaps are around 60mm higher at the bottom edge than the fronts....should they have the same ground clearance??

In addition to this the top of the flap at on the rear is 30mm higher than the front...so I think this will definately need adjusting to keep the eye line correct.

As with the Fluffmeisters octy...the rear flaps do not mould into the arch well ...so I think a couple of self tappers into the flange behind them will solve this.

Another point to note is that the inside of the arch on the fabia is making the flap twist slightly so we may have to trim more off the insdie to get a better fit

- not just enough to clear the 'bulge' on the inside shown above - were I have used a self tapper to secure the flap.

I will be having a chat with Ian at PC tomorrow to see what he thinks aswell.

Keith

These are exactly like the sparco flaps £12 per pair but without the sticker

hmm I was expecting them to fit better than they look. Obviously we need to let PC sort them before making the final decision.

Orange a bit lairy! but if you like them thats cool.

Think they'd look better in black without the vrs logo.

I'm not too convinced about the fit around the arch, looks a bit too home made to me, how much will they be selling for?

Got a silver vrs on order, should pick it up next week, was told by the dealr that standard flaps don't fit the vrs bumpers so will probably end up with something like this.

The rears looked orange due to the low sunlight...the fronts show the correct colour...and it is the standard red colur that PC uses.

They're not to my taste, but each to their own :)

Sorry mate they do look orange. I think they will loook better to see the true colours. I think if rears are sorted out regarding the bad fit then I will definitly having some. just not too sure at the moment because of that. i'm sure pc will sort it. Have you got a day you will be going down? do you know if they will be able to sort the rears?

More pics of a cleaned octy with rally flaps on.

I have taken the liberty of tweaking the mounting myself and am passing the info onto Ian at PC to expedite things with the octy.

Better fit round the arch's with a little trimming and the use of a couple of extra holes and some plastic "trim plugs"

  I would concur

i`m gonna be honest here cause thats what i do best. i think they look shiiite!!!!

but i am glad that you like them, there are things about mine which i`m sure folk dont like but these just look way to cHavish, they belong on an escort

I too have to agree with the above.

Red flaps on a black car just make it look sooo bad. Fitting could be improved.

Could anyone photoshop some blackones..:)

I personally like rally flaps if they compliment the car I had them on my Suabru and they completely changed the look of the car (in a good way I think) and was very practical (17's loved to throw up grime and stones etc) heres a couple of pics.......

They are Scott Lowe flaps and cost a couple of hundred quid ( I seem to remember, maybe less) but they were great quality and unlike quite a few cheaper ones didnt flap about too much.

I know all this has got nothing to do with Skodas sorry

Cheers for the photos Keith!!

It looks like a promising start to me, although I'll be ordering black myself! As far as your issues go i'm not too worried about the rear flap length althouth I agree that the top edges of front and rear flaps would be better at the same height.

Look forward to getting the final design approved so we mere members of the public can start ordering ours:thumbup:  !!

Hello Monty

thought I would say hello, you got me setup with a deal on an vortex exhaust for my blobeye over on scoobynet and we exhcanged pm's a few times :)

You got a skoda now then?

Hello mate:)

Yep moved over due to fuel costs and new job 50 miles away:rolleyes: Enjoying the VRS though great commuter

I see you have a speed triple I had a Daytona 955i (until a small 70mph glitch) love the sound of that engine (specially through a blue flame!)

Sorry thread is about mudflaps not bikes;)

Spoken to PC today ...I am going over next Mon to sort out the fitting issues.

I'm not one to readily take offense...but please refrain from calling me chavvy.....its neither intelligent nor funny.....and 4 those people who have met me...they will vouch for me not being chavvy.

I have spent a large amount of my time and fuel trying to sort out the fittment for those people who will be interested in whatever std colour is available, so if the small minded minority insist on 'having a go' I can easily stop helping, pay PC the going rate and you can start all over again.

I for one appreciate the effort you're going to, although I had hoped I could be the guinea pig so that I could get myself a free set:rolleyes: :D !!

Keep up the good work and I look forward to the next lot of photo's:thumbup:  !!

Yep, keep it up and post the photo's once fitting is sorted as I am very interested, although I will but some of a more discreet colour.

For some reason though, it reminds me of the time I made a set for my modified morris traveller using some old car floor mats!

:iagree: with Jono76

They look HIDEOUS on the Fabia IMHO
