MJ01, Thats exactly the same as mine. I have a red car and mine was done about 6 weeks ago. Well pleased!!

I would ask for the top perforated panel to be normal leather, and have the badge there.

Either that or delete the badge.

Either way, its a minor niggle. The leather looks stunning.

Nottyash: imagine the red stitching would go well with the red paintwork. Not tempted with red leather in some of the panels? When did you lose the smell of the glue on the door cards?

I'm very pleased too. Went up to London yesterday and showed my Dad (87 years young!) and he was very impressed, also with the Black Magic paint. Daughter at Uni took a look on here and also seems chuffed with the photos.

MJ01, I Went for the dark red stitching as I wasnt brave enough to get the bright red stitching without seeing it, but now I think it would actually look good. So Anyone out there with a red one, go for it and post the pics!!

Glue smell went after a couple of weeks, smells of new leather now.

Those seats are stunning, they've done a right good job. Do they just recover the original seats, or fit new ones?

Also would they be able to fill the 'silver' mesh panels in the seats of an Octy vRS?

They remove all seats and door cards from the car, remove the old covers and throw them in the bin, fit nice new ones, as you decide on colour/ stiching and refit it all back in.

I think they can do the job in a day. Drop the car off in the morning and collect it in the afternoon. I'm sure someone else on here can confirm this...

It takes Seat Surgeons less than a day. Whilst I was there, Paul reckoned they would retrim 3 cars that day. I dropped mine off at 9am and it was ready at 3pm.

Gliptone leather conditioner is good for reinforcing the leathery aroma.
