Pics of my new leather

Featured Replies

Just spent a week in York, including leaving the car with Seat Surgeons for a day. Paul, the boss, was really helpful with a lift back into town etc, and his team were friendly and did a great job with the seats and door cards. I'm very pleased with the results, really lifts the ambiance of the interior. Nice to feel too! I would certainy have no hesitation in recommending Seat Surgeons. I've attached a few photos, what do you think? And a question to the guys who have already been leathered; when will I lose the smell of the glue on the door cards and start smelling the leather?

Looks really well.

Thanks guys. Sorry Harry, no I didn't. Had trouble uploading photos due to the file sizes, now seem to be at my personal limit here with just the two attached before. Happy to have them (8 pics) posted on Fabia-vrs(dot com) site if the owner (VRStu?) wants to tell me how to go about it.

That looks superb!....quite a bit easier to keep clean over the originals too;)

Didn't have too much trouble keeping the cloth seats clean, but then it's only me in the car most of the time, the family are all grown up and we use my wife's car for trips to the dump etc. Can imagine they must be a nightmare with young kids etc. Anyway, yet another benefit of the leather.

resized and hosted on my photo bucket, does look very nice indeed. i love it!!

Stiffee: £795 plus VAT, or £795 inc VAT for Briskoda members.

Harry vRS: was the "search" re the cost query, or my query re uploading more photos?

send em on over if you want mate, more than happy to do it :)

Thanks for the help Bengie, just sent 8 photos to your hotmail address.

Wow that looks gorgeous! If I ever get a Fabia vRS with cloth then I will definately be doing that to mine , York isn't too far for me either!

for those that haven't seen my earlier post now has all the pics in, looks smart :)

Depending on the sensitivity of your nose, and the glue used, it takes up to two weeks to lose the glue smell.

You can improve and reinforce the leathery smell by using Gliptone Leather Conditioner.

Bengie, thanks for posting the photos (if you have time I'd appreciate an e-mail or PM on how you do it); Bryand for the advice; and all for the kind comments.

Actually looking forward to work tomorrow for the 25 mile drive. Washed it today to get rid of last week's 1,000 miles of dirt (500 mile round trip to York and 500 miles of sightseeing) and to do the inside justice, but with the current weather probably a bit of a waste of time.

Hey Daddio, can you guess who it is??!!!!!!!!

The seats look very very nice, im glad you're pleased with them.I definatly think the red stitching was a good choice!

Speak to you soon, love steph. XXX

beautiful job

Proper Job

Thanks Steph (you can feel the luxury leather when I pick you up from uni in Dec, just watch out for that text speak and spelling - wot wiv yur expensiv ederkashun!). Love you too, xx.

Thanks also guys.

I'm now going to try and post a new thread with photos of my new matching mats, thanks to Bengie if I get photobucket right! Give me a few moments though!

I think the seat surgeons interiors look great  but is there not an option to keep the badges in the original position?

Having seen pics of others, I was aware that they placed them higher. I don't mind and assume it's because the lower panels are perforated and wouldn't take the embroidered logos.
