Second hand Dealer warrenty issues??

Featured Replies

Hello everybody, had my VRS nearly a week now an ive picked up on a couple of things (minor) that i was wondering if i should pester the dealer i bought it off with what do you reckon as ive only got a 3 month warrenty.

1,drivers seat a bit fluffy on the edge of the seam(worried it'll get worse, can i trim it down or is this a stupid idea?)

2, tickover runs at 1300rpm on a morning while cold for first minute or so(normal?)

3, there are a couple of corrosion bubbles on the front alloys i noticed while cleaning it (does the skoka anti corrosion warrenty cover alloys?)

1) Cosmetic; I doubt you'd get anything other than a new warranty to entertain sorting that.

2) I've never owned a petrol Skoda, but doesn't sound right for an EMS equipped car.

3) Doubt it. FWIW my alloys are as "as new" as brake dust allows, after 4 and a bit years, and at least 2 sets of replacement tyres on the front, one on the rear (maybe more; I've got one bill for new fronts and rather doubt that the original tyres did something like 53_000 miles.

point 2 is correct

then it drops back i'm told it cos of the air pump thingy which gets the engine warmer quicker

though i may be talking crap and dream't about that bit
