Big thanks to VRStu

Had Cruise Control added to my OctyII on Sunday... :)

Since then, the fuel economy has increased by 5-10% over the 500 miles covered (most of which was either motorway or dual carriage way)! At this rate it'll soon pay for itself on on my many longer journeys. :D

If you're thinking of having CC fitted I can't recommend Stu's service enough - all very professional.

Oh, and while there Stu also enabled the door lock "churp" and disabled the linked R+L mirror control!

---------------

For Sale - Part number 1K0 953 513 (Indicator/Main Beam Stalk) - Professional removed!

Thanks for the positive feedback. I'm glad you are reaping the benifits already!!

You'll have to keep me posted on your headunit/Ipod woes.

Im next;) Looking forward to it.

Still on Stu?

Still on Stu?

Of course. :P

Nice one, got a couple of other things to run by you aswell, not wishing to push my luck.

My christmas list:

The alarm chirp

Annoying L+R mirror adjust

Left and right foggie enable

Headlight washers activating with xenons on and not sidlights

Any other bits that can be fettled

MFD2 CAN-BUS enable.

Will a dealer oblige? or shall I track a VAG-COM user down or get it myself

I can do -

The alarm chirp

Annoying L+R mirror adjust

MFD2 CAN-BUS enable.

I would need to research -

Left and right foggie enable

Headlight washers activating with xenons on and not sidlights

Any other bits that can be fettled -

Off of the top of my head -

Seatbelt chime off

Leaving home lights for non tunnel light equiped cars.

Selective locking/unlocking

That sounds spot on, another thing: I still dont think my xenon headlight levelling is correct and I believe the fix is via VAG-COM.

The list is growing...............

It can be, certainly sorted out mine and Chris's.

Sounds good, interested in earning some beer tokens in the near future?

Working 7 day weeks at present and the prospect of a duff DMF looms large :(

Yeah...

You fixed my bleeps, and 2 days later it went walkabout...

I know where you live..

DMF looms large :(

Surely not at your expense though??

Of course I'll help where I can and as you are a freedom member there is no charge!! Bargain eh!! :P

Balls! you'll still get beer tokens, I insist! :P :D

Re the DMF, I have posted in "ask a tech" and a knackered DMF looks like the culprit, off to the stealers in the morning.

I've 'used' Stu's services for several amendments to the Fabia and just like to add my very positive feedback too

Just wish I could get my car sorted 100% - it's got to be close now :)

Is it nearly Xmas yet??? ;)

2. not sure what the issue is here - can someone explain ?

3. I cant believe it only has one rear fog light again ?

4. dont have xenons

5. probably

6. What this then Ted ? (reversing sensor muting and display - crosses fingers)

There are 4 options to make the car churp when -

Locked with key

Locked with the remote

Unlocked with key

Unlocked with remote

As for R+L Mirror adjust, the default is that when the RH door mirror is adjusted, the LH one follows, so you must always adjust the right first then move the left. By disabling this both mirrors move on their own.

Which module is this done on?

That's one for VRStu to answer - but it only took a few key presses...

Controller 46 Dan

Byte 14 bit 6

Health Warning!!!! Before changing these settings always make a note of the existing code, **** it up and you may render the car undrivable!!

Afraid not Ray. It's as shown on my install guide. By adding the NAV unit you've effectively added another controller, one which the CANBUS can see but isn't expecting to see and so takes exception to.

Awww shucks thanks mate - you'll make me blush. :P

Where abouts in Hampshire are you then VRStu?

Do you do Barrow Jobs, how much for the bleep & mirror fix then?

When I take delivery of the vRS will probably be visiting the relatives 'darn sarff'...

I don't charge as long as you are a Freedom member and support Briskoda. So effectively it'll cost you £12.

Drop me a PM when the time comes and we'll arrange something.
