I Hate Satellite Navigation.............

Also, what number of "G's" will the bracket take before it shears off, I am getting new MkII VRS a week today !!! :orb_devil

 If it's an actual TT one they're really strong. If it's a dirty ebay job like mine, about 0.000000000000001G :(

A tom tom one did make the headlines for doing just that in ireland.

Satnavs are also being blamed for destroying the road networks. Because HGV drivers are using their sat nav to get around navigating, they are getting stuck and often destroying bridges as their sat nav doesnt warn them of weight restrictions or height restrictions. :D Quite a funny news report when I watched it

I've got a Tom Tom One Europe (V2 (new one)).

It's faultless, I also dont understand the point in the other Tom Toms, like the 510 and 710 as the Tom Tom one has all the same features except for a ever so slightly smaller screen, and it thinner so IMO better.

The bracket that is supplied with it holds it very well indeed, and mines never come off, it's also a nice compact bracket too.

As said, always use fastest route, never had a problem and use mine alot, house numbers are also invaluable for lazy taxi drivers!!

Got mine for £224.95 from dixons online using a E-code freely available by googling.

Cheers, may plump for the tom tom one, did fancy the 310 or 510 as it does blutooth with your phone and acts as a handsfree, but apparently that is a bit patchy.

I have a Sony Erricsson K800i - anyone any experience ?

I had a K750i that worked seamlessly with the TomTom700. My N80 couldnt upload phone book which was a bit pants. However, I think you would be better off with something like a parrot or the SE hands free if thats what your after.

Cheers for the advice, will probably plump for tom tom one, not too bothered about handsfree as I have a cheap plug in earpiece and mike, which will probably suffice.

Not a big fan of using phones in cars anyway, even when using with handsfree kits I tend to slow down to about fifty on M'ways without realising it !
