A Challange to the Briskoda Folding Team

Featured Replies

Greetings Fellow Folders!

Don't look now, but your team is about to be overtaken!

Let it be known that Team Outcasts plan to over take your team within 30 days. Anything you all plan to do about this? Let see what you can do!

 :P ;)

Take it you don't own a Skoda then? ;)

I'd love to try and I've had my days of running 4 CPUs, but now I'm down to one, so do my little bit. Where's the link to team outcasts folding forum then? ;)

Edit: My folding reference (overclockers) says its 72 days. :P

lets see indeed :D

hhmm.. :rubchin:

I wonder if the boss will let me run several clients up on the old 28 cpu NUMA thats now sat doing nothing... :D

Well I'm starting to see an improvement, back to over 50 WU's this month as apposed to low 30's for the last couple of months - still nowhere near the 150+ a month I used to be doing.

I was upto 16 CPU's now down to 8 with only 5 active in last 7 days

hhmm...

Don't think we stand a chance here guys... :(

Not unless some one has a nice big cluster we could use :D

well i'm back up and folding 24/7 on my athlon 64 x2 after a month away so that will help a little bit :D

See, just a few more of these and you will be going in the right direction!

I said 30 days to give us a target to shoot for, 72 days was just too easy!

got 2 completed WUs waiting to be added to the total... that's another 753 points Team Outcasts need to get ;)

ahh, but it's not about holding folks at bay is it, really...... and let's face it, we can't hope to do battle against a team where the top 2 folders are posting around 25k points between them each day!

I mean - why are we all Folding in the first place?? ;)

I have some extra nodes i might be able to call on for a short term, just to see if we can stretch it past 30 days.

Not that it makes much odds since I'm sure they will overtake evenually unless i can speak very nicely to my mate who does the uni computers and get a thousand or so nodes added short term.

A 30 day battle then, err 29 now!

It is a battle to some extent, these keep things interesting, which I'm sure marty9876 is intending

I must get my rigs folding again too :D

Not really had time to get the client running on anymore machines so far, think am still putting in over 1200 points 24 hour average though ;) i'm trying.... what happened to BPM's monster 24 hour output?

Even if the currently inactive members had just 1 CPU each back up and running, that would make a definite difference. And if more than 1 CPU could be made available, who knows, maybe we could keep them at bay for a good while longer.:P

The challenge has been made, but can we respond?

I should be able to get back into the loft & sort out my rigs again, if/when that happens I'll stick a few on for Brisky ;)

I can't get to my extra rigs due to lack of car :(

Do you guys actually follow this stuff?? I forget mine is even doing it lol! Except when it crashes my computer!

Oh, and what the hell is a rig!?

Put the client on my laptop this morning and it seems faster than i expected

Going to setup 2 services on a core2 machine that will be on 24/7

Just looking for more machines to set it up on now

Got an old laptop i could put it on and leave 24/7

but not sure if its fast enough to bother

Hi JamesGarner

It's probably worth a try on the old laptop, as long as it doesn't cause you any overheating issues.

Thanks for your efforts.

All the Best

Chris

rig is a computer system.

And no i just notice when my thing changes colour down to me not putting any units in :)
