What about swapping the ambient air temp sensor wiring with the intake air temp sensor, so you get to see the intake air temp on your display in the car.

if it works it would be a genious thing but i don't think it would as it might send the air-con mad.

Surely it would mess up the running of the engine?

not if you doubled up the signal but i do think it would send the climate control loopy
