vRS tracking off?

Featured Replies

Just bought an Mk1 05' black magic Octavia vRS, 14,000 miles, not bad for

Most generally have a little pull to the left so, not really anyhting to worry about.

AmD used to set up cars to combat this...mine was perfect when checked...not kerbed...although Q may have done this since he's taken ownership. ;)

Just keep an eye on tyre wear just in case it is something out of the ordinary.

Oi! I resent that comment

Adrian is right though, my first vRS pulled ever so slightly to the left, and there are many threads on briskoda voicing the same story. They (mostly) all do it, and is nothing to worry about.

Thanks guys, but on a long m/w journey i think i would tire of this quite quickly! I understand it must be a case of TADTS (after a search on this forum!), but if it can be fixed i'd rather fix it! Who can sort it? (Skoda being my first choice (WARRANTY) )

Weird, have not got that issue on my 01 vRS.

I took my vRS back to the dealer to complain about this after having it a few weeks and they said they all do it to a certain extent. They even let me take another vRS out for a test drive and that was exactly the same.

All tyre wear is even and have just got used to it now.

Are you sure it's not just the camber of the road? Almost all roads slope down to the kerb, so that water drains off, so most cars "pull" left to some extent when driving along them. That pull's more obvious in some designs than others.

To rule that out, check if it pulls left when you're in the middle of the road, or on the wrong side (but obviously only when there's nothing coming the other way!!!!!!).

over the last week i noticed that mine pulled to the left as well. i just thought it was the cross wind on the motorway but its when my bro said that he couldn't feel it in his car so to thought it was the tracking. but if everyone else's is doing it then i guess its not too much of a big problem then.

but i will try the wrong side of the road and help clear it.
