Featured Replies

Tried to post this in 'News' section but don't seem to have correct privilages, sorry if it's in the wrong place and feel free to move as needed.

Anyway... found this on the new MKII Fabia Top Gear | Absolutely Fabia

Appologies if this has already been posted.

Seven engines will be on offer when the Fabia goes on sale in January 2008 in the UK, and a six-speed gearbox will be offered for the first in time in the Fabia range.

has the vRS got a 6 speed box?

Mine has.

January 2008 seems a long way off - I thought we would start seeing them in the early summer of 2007? (Well, mass-market versions anyway).

yes

so how can it be offered for the first time as per the website? lol:P

Remember Top gear voted the Fabia VRS uncool, some tart in the audiance said it was ugly, while Hamster said Skodas were for Tight people who wouldnt spend the extra money on a VW!!

They even tested it against a Mini Cooper, and still never noticed the 6 speed box:rofl:

6 speed box in the new Fabia is a Tiptronic auto, available with the 1.6 petrol at the start only.

The new Fabia hatchback should hit the showrooms in the UK in May according to Skoda UK.

Both those things were in the press release but apparantely too taxing for Top Gear to copy into their article correctly

PS. My Fabia's 6 speed box is no mirage!!!;)
