Headlining & Apillar trim removal

Featured Replies

Anyone know how to get the passenger side A pillar trim off and the headlining down so I can run a cable up to the rear view area or sunroof pod.

Also any tips of what to batch for when taking the glove box out?

Ta

A pillar trim is just clipped in, open door and pull rubber away from the a pillar then get a grip and pull towards the centre console.

I changed the head lining on my RS from the early model white roof to a black roof lining.

Was pretty straight forward, pull the rubber around the doors down and pop off the A and C-pillar trims.

The B-pillar trim is held on by a screw behind the seatbelt.

Then you'll need to take the sun visors, centre light (pop the lens off and there are 2 screws ;) ) and the grab handles off if you need to get the roof lining all the way down as their what hold the lining in place.

This is dead simple - there's five torx screws, three top and two bottom if I recall correctly. The only thing to watch is the connector for the light at the top right-hand side - it just unclips.

Don't do what I did and screw everything back together then remember the light :)

Ta guys, after having a look it seems i should be able to run the cable to the a piller without dropping the head lining so that i can put the mic above, but i guess i'll find out soon enough.

Wish me luck ;)
