Felicia 1.3 Ignition Coil replacement

Featured Replies

First post on this forum, and to be honest i'm desperate!

I have posted on various VW forums (i own a golf) and have have no help!

My friend left work recently, and couldn't start her felicia. When the AA arrived they diagnosed the ignition coil as being faulty, got the car started and she was able to drive it home.

Wondered if anybody knows anywhere where i can get hold of a walkthrough guide as to how to fit? (I'm not too bad mechanically, but she doesn't have a haynes). If anybody could help me, i would appreciate it!!

Cheers

do you mean the model which has the distributor or the model which has a coilpack??

If you need a new coil pack (ie covering the 4 spark plugs at the front) then this is very simple and straightforward. there are two simple alllen key bolts that hold the coil pack in place and should be easy to locate. You need to undo these and then take off the small clip attached to the coil pack.

Be careful when refitting new coil pack to push them in place gently and then do up the allen keys. Then simply reclip the lead and you are on your way. Hey presto
